Set at the foot of the wild, 6-kilometre Gigaro beach, this design hotel has some of its pool suites right on the sand — we land you at the beach it's built on.
Lily of the Valley is built into the dunes at the foot of Gigaro, one of the last undeveloped beaches on this stretch of coast — 6 kilometres of fine sand protected from the road behind. Several of the hotel's pool suites sit directly on the beach; the rest of the property is a short rise above it.
We land your water taxi on Gigaro itself, by tender if there's no calm approach for the boat, a few minutes' walk from reception. Your captain checks the sea state and picks the smoothest stretch of sand before you leave.
From Saint-Tropez harbour it's a run around the Cap Lardier headland, roughly 30 minutes in calm conditions. From Pampelonne, the crossing is shorter, hugging the coast past Cap Camarat.
Gigaro is one of the few beaches near Saint-Tropez that was never built up, and Lily of the Valley sits right at the edge of it — arriving from the water is the most direct way in, and the one that matches the setting.
The road down to Gigaro is narrow and slow in season, and parking is limited by design — the beach is protected. Arriving by boat avoids that bottleneck entirely and puts you on the sand the hotel is named after.
A discreet, design-forward hotel in the Cap Lardier nature reserve, with a spa, an equipped private beach and rooms opening straight onto the pines and the sea beyond.
