The only coral island in the volcanic BVI chain sits low behind Horseshoe Reef, one of the largest barrier reefs in the Caribbean. The public ferry only runs a few days a week; most visitors arrive by private boat through the marked channel at Setting Point — straight to the lobster docks, then a taxi to Loblolly Bay or Cow Wreck Beach.

Anegada lobster is the BVI's signature dish — grilled on the beach at Setting Point by the Anegada Reef Hotel and Potter's by the Sea. Order ahead, step off the boat, eat with your feet in the sand.
Beaches with nobody on them
Loblolly Bay, Cow Wreck Beach, Flash of Beauty — miles of white sand behind the reef, snorkelling straight off the beach, and crowds that never come because the island is hard to reach. That's the point.
