There is no parking in Positano. The SS163 coast road is a 2-hour crawl in summer. The sea is not Plan B — it is the only real entrance. 20 minutes to Capri, 15 to Amalfi, no hairpin turns.
Fixed prices for 1 to 12 guests. Included: captain, fuel, insurance, port fees.
Positano is a vertical village carved into cliffs with no flat ground for parking. In July and August, the SS163 coast road between Sorrento and Amalfi gridlocks daily, turning a 16 km drive into a 2-hour ordeal. The sea has always been the real highway here — fishermen, ferries and now water taxis.
Positano has zero public parking in summer. The SS163 is one lane each way with buses, scooters and 300-metre drops. A water taxi from Amalfi takes 15 minutes — the bus takes 50 and you stand the whole way.
Da Adolfo sits below cliffs with no road. La Fontelina on Capri is a 20-minute hop away. Li Galli — the private islands where Nureyev lived — are 10 minutes south. The sea is the only way in.
From Positano, every destination on the coast is under 30 minutes by water taxi. Ravello is a 15-min boat + 10-min car. Capri is a morning trip. Naples airport is 75 minutes door-to-dock.
